can anyone tell me what the cockpit vent open/close does on a sundancer 310. I can't find anything anywhere on it's function.

Are you referring to the vent window located in the center of the windshield on some Sundancers, like mine for example. The vent switch on my helm panel activates the the open/close mechanism for this window.

If the item mentioned above is not it, do you have a few more specifics on what you are talking about regarding the vent?

on the port switch pad above the light toggles, there is a vent open and a vent close set of toggles. It doesn't seem to do anything. On a 2008 sundancer 310 the center window has a simple mechanical latch to open when you want to get on the deck. There is no vent window there. Maybe sea ray uses the same panel on multiple boats and it has no function on a 310?

hadn't thought about head or galley. I usually keep the power vent breaker off. I'll try that thanks.

Al, I think that's what it's for ! I have the same Boat and it doesn't do anything!!! The larger Boats have a center panel window that opens and closes!!!

Ditto... what he said.

I also have a vent switch in the head that does nothing...

vent switch in head should work if power vent breaker in panel is turned on.

So I can control the head vent from the helm also? :wow:

I can see where that might be handy with some guests...

The vent switch is for vent window on the windshield but many models do not have that vent window so the switch is useless. It does not control the head vent or anything else.
