I have a 1995 SR 370 Express that was vandalized. They smashed the center etched panel in the salon above the couch. This backlit marine life scene is almost 4' long. It has coral and a sea turtle and was an option from Sea Ray.

Does anyone have lead on where I can get a replacement, or who the original source was for the glass? I'd even pursue something close to the original.

I can accept the other damage, but this one hurts the most.

Thanks for any insight or help.

Try emailing Sea Ray, they helped me with a Vendor. That being said a Glass Shop could probably remake it. Sorry for your damage.

Try calling some of the local glass shops. I'd bet you could have them etch the same exact pattern into a mirror or a glass panel.

Thanks for the suggestions. We just purchased this boat 3 weeks ago. Very nice shape and well taken care of.

I'm hoping that SR will come through with some info. This was a custom order option from Sea Ray in 1995. If anyone knows of boat salvage yards, let me know. Maybe a hurricane boat may have the glass. This was available in both express and dancers I believe.

Yes, all of our boating friends are more than willing to dispense justice. Other boats were damaged and they broke windows at the marina.

The boat was in the water and ready to be placed in heated storage. It was scheduled to come out the week before, but weather didn't cooperate. Not much you can do when someone is bent on destroying property at 3am. There is a video, but it will need to be enhanced.

Yes, the name is Mix It. You must be familiar with it.

This is Ray Bock. I have been on and driven the boat plently of times, you bought one of the nicest 370's out there of that vintage. I have seen these panels before somewhere, I am searching online right now to try to remember where, otherwise I am sure there is somewhere that can have one made for you to replicate the original.

Hey Ray. Thanks for any help you can provide. Yes, the boat is very nice and we are more than happy with the purchase. We were pretty ill when I walked aboard and saw the damage to this panel. They broke the faucet off the sink and just smashed the microwave, salon stereo and this panel. Didn't touch the stereo by the helm, although they broke the sun shield on the compass and took the XM module.

I'll post if I find info on a source.

I received information from Sea Ray on their original source for the etched glass. SR used a company in Melbourne, FL called Define Studios. http://yp.bellsouth.com/sites/definestudios/page2.html Their number is disconnected. They also operated under the name CDLC Creations. Also disconnected.

So much for the original sources. Going to pursue a local glass company. The joys of owning a boat in a world gone mad.
