Help..we are having trouble getting the vacuflush to let water down. Once my husband taps on something under the floor it clears but then it does it again (within 24 hours) and then more tapping. What could be the problem?

Can you give us a little more info to go on.... Is the vacum generator running? You say that this problem comes back in 24 hrs., does it work normal (with vacum) sometimes? What exactly are you or your husband taping on?

Please help us help you.
What boat do you have? Year, model and model number please.
When you say your husband taps on the floor, where is he tapping?
Are you sure you have vacu-flush? If you simply flush the toilet with water only do you hear the air rush in via the vacuum?
What year is the boat again? If it is a vacu-flush, when was the last time you changed the duck valves? They last about 3-5 years.

Possibly this - There were a batch of "bad" Sealand VacuFlush pump motors manufactured in '06 and '07. Brush housings were incorrect causing brushes to hang. Tapping on the motor frees the brushes engaging the system and the toilet will then flush. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Depending upon your boat and the date code on the motor, could be a warranty item.

Well, 10 days and no response. I guess there was really no need for "help".

..and what the hell was she tapping on...!

"Under the floor".....could be almost anything.

Once again with no boat description we can't even guess if its a hose, the vacuum canister, the pump, or the head monky that lives down there under the floor.

I've seen the "Trunk Monkey" videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCUBxgdKZ_Y)

Is there a Head Monkey video or is the Head Monkey someone on the forum?
