vacuflush toilet question

When using a vacum flush toilet, what happens after first use? Do you have to wait for vacum to build back up? I tried mine today. The first time it popped, then the next time there didn't seem to be any suction.

Mine takes about 10-15 seconds to pull the vaccum. If you listen close enough you can hear it. (I gotta ask........you do have it switched on right?)

And, need to have some water left in the bowl to help create a seal to build up vacuum.
