Vacuflush question

Replaced vacuum pump because old pump needed a smack a few times over a weekend getaway
New pump is in works no smacking required
But it seems like it doesn’t start pumping to rebuild pressure for a good 3-4 minutes after flushing the toilet
Is this normal ?
Is there a fix ?

No it is not normal. Either it has a bad connection or the vacuum switch is bad

You should have a large round cylinder tube which is the accumulator. On one end is the vacuum pressure switch. That switch drives the vacuum generator/pump. Some say they are non-adjustable. It may simply be clogged up with ‘stuff’ and need a good cleaning.

It is not adjustable. The minute you adjust it you need to replace it

Spring steel does not fair well with thermocycling as it causes molecular reorganization.

You have a tank, it doesn't look like that though...

I'm going through this right now on our 2008 340. No vacuum generator pump unless you tap the unit. At first I thought it was the motor, more investigation leads me to believe its the vacuum switch. Has anyone ever jumpered the switch wires to verify? Or is the switch a likely culprit and most everyone just changes the switch to begin?

I changed the motor
Seems to work
Other than once in a while it does vacuum after a flush for 30-45 seconds
