VacuFlush help.....desperately neeeded

If it's any consolation I finally fixed mine and here is what I learned.

1. My boat is 15 years old, if I had to do it again and knew what I know now, I would just do a complete rebuild and do it once.

my leak actually ended up being in the vacuum generator tank. I replaced the Duckbills, Bellows, Pump Orings, Vacuum generator tank, vacuum pressure switch orings, diptube orings, and the hose from the vacuum generator to holding tank.

All in, it would have been much less frustration to have done this right the first time and not tried to save 200 bucks.

Ok.
It s fixed!
I had to call in the calvary and here s what happened:
....I used lots of the suggestions you folks provided
....isolating parts of the system made sense so I hose-plugged the rugged black sanitation hose at the toilet end (to get at the hose I had to remove the toilet unit completely-which damaged the hose and required a nightmare snaking of rigidly uncooperative new hose through blind spots that needed a heat gun and lots of furniture wax to euchre the smallest cooperation from the crazy stiff hose)
......then i put the hose plug down onto the Vflush unit itself to isolate it even more
......still not holding vacuum
.......cleaned everything plus new duck bills
........reassembled carefully
........all of this working in the tiniest space between the foward end of the gas tank and a bulkhead
.......S T I L L no vaccuum seal!
.......at this point I called in an expert because even though the LIMITER SWITCH was the only part left to replace I wasn t confident it was bad because, as one of you pointed out, the switch does shut the vacuum pump off. The switch does work. The system just can t hold the vacuum.
......the Vflush expert arrived and after a thorough examination of my system that revealed nothing he deployed his stethescope and finally discovered THAT THE LIMITER SWITCH, DEPITE WORKING AS A SWITCH, WAS I T S E L F LEAKING VACUUM! I was close to replacing the switch on my own but was spooked about throwing almost 200.00 at a part/guess.

So, the takeaway for me was that switches that do work can still leak vacuum. Hope this saga helps someone avoid toilet stress

Same problem with our guest head, turned out to be the switch leaking also.
