Vacu-flush quit while fishing around Catalina island. Were does it get its power and chime in with none problems. I do not hear the vacuum pump running at all. BTW 03 260da.:smt100

Lets start with the basics.

In the head, the key is turned "on" and the power light is on?

I assume you have a power light. My 2003 280 has a power light in the head. Its next to the key that turns the head on and off.

I'm just making sure somoneone did not bump the key or turn off the switch in the electrical panel.

Might be a loose wire/connection on the pump...look right at the top of the unit, under the protective cover..I recrimped mine after having the same problem..

I had something similar happen to me once. It turned out that my holding tank was full and the level sensor was not working.

Are you saying that there's a sensor that prevents the pump to operate when the tank is full?

Still a little punchy from the cat trip. Same controls as yours and the key lights up the panel but nothing happens. Its the old "lights are on, but nobody is home".

Can you get to the pump and check if you have power going to the pump? If yes, the pump might be coocked. If there's no power you start making your way from breaker and fuses.

The bellows pump turns on when the vacuum in the vacuum tank goes away. I would suspect a major blockage between the toilet and the vacuum tank or the vacuum switch on the vacuum tank is stuck or bad. Either way, I would pull the vacuum switch on the tank and if there is a vacuum in that tank and then the pump starts running, you probably have a blockage. If you pull the vacuum switch and the pump still doesn't turn on, you probably have a bad switch.

I get my parts from these guys:

The vacuum switch is towards the bottom of the page.

My 2 cents.

I had the actual vacuum switch on the top of the assembly break that Gary is referring to. The switch on the top of the assembly is a Square D part that I Googled and bought somewhere. It was around $20 or less.

Wow. That's a heck of a lot better than the $150 or so Dometec wants. Can you find and post a part #?

It's just a square d part - the part had a sticker on top with the part number. On mine the switch on top of the assembly was what was bad. I had to sign up my company to be a reseller. I will see if I can find the info.

It happened to me this summer. So I connected the pump directly to the battery using separate wires and it started working, so as mentioned by Gary It was a "major blockage". Fortunately, just by having the pump working a few seconds, the blockage was fixed.

The switch you turn it on with on your electrical panel is also the breaker.

Doesn't sound like a breaker problem.

The fix is a plunger.......4.95 at WalleyWorld...unless your tank is full. Had this happen earlier this summer.

Thanks guys, after setting overnight I heard the vacuum pump run so then look to the blokage issue and tried plunger then went to very small snake and it works great now. Already told my buddy to increase his fiber.:smt021

Poop is generally water soluble so waiting does fix a blockage from time to time.

mmmmmm read this just in time for dinner.
