We are flying to Marthas Vinyeard on Saturday, July 24 for three nights. Staying in Oak Bluffs and then on to Nantucket for two nights. What are the "not to miss" places, best watering holes, and restaurants?

Anyone going to be there.

I am assuming you have your family......All places I go do not involve family activities.......Kidding.......Being in Oak Bluffs ( I will assume you are staying at the Weslyn or equal) is the heart of alcoholism and alcohol poisening.......You are right in the heart of the action......You will have the boardwalk with all the boats and bars and restaurants........I always tell people to take the bus and go to Edgartown and Vineyard Haven just to see two other towns.....I also tell people if they can rent a jeep and get lost for the day and end up in Menemsha and get lobstas and steamers from Larsons (right there) and watch the sunset....Bring your own wine when you go........

The MV Monster Shark Tournement is this weekend in Oak Bluff. Just being around the docks when they bring all the sharks in will be fun.

It is a lot of fun to watch the sharks come in and PITA holding signs.....The best part is when all the drunks try to use your tender or boat as a basket and shoot their cigarettes and beer cans.....Spectator yes, transient for that weekend not in Oak Bluffs......I will be anchored in VH tomorrow night (thursday)....
