Sea Ray 460 Sundancer Hardtop 2001 - SOLD

I've got a Hurly system with the long pivots for sale:

I purchased new from Hurly for my 460. I installed the system in April - 07 and used the system for two weeks the end of May. My Swim Platform is too high off the water for this system to work with my dink.

The Delrin bunk beds are trimmed to nest a Avon 310 Rib, but this trim is adjustable for deeper hull profiles, but adjustable for more shallow hull designs as the Delrin material has been cut away.

(For dinks with fabric keels this wouldn't be an issue. at all.)

The unit is in good shape, there are a few nicks & scuffs etc. in the powder coat, but the system is not beat up. Be they my nicks or yours, the unit will get'em sooner or later. My nicks will save you money now.

I'm in this unit for $900 including frieght to Florida. You can price this sytem at hurly's site or on ebay.

I'll take the best offer received by PM here by or before July 1, 2007

Shipping weight is about 20# and would ship from zip 33301 Make me deal guys. SOLD AS IS, but I'll accept return within three days of receipt for inspection. Pay by PAYPAL, check, wire.

PM me your offer

Chad on Asureyez,
If I understand the listing notation "withdrawn" = not available? I do have a question regarding your experience wit hte davits - you mention the height of your platform as being an issue - as I am considering the Hurley davits for my '96 370DA, what was the measurement from the top of your platform to the water?
Thanks
Hydrotherapy.

I have the Hurley Davit on my 92 370DB. I'm only 7" off the water. Would be surprised if you are much higher than that, if at all since we have the same hull from the rubrail down.

I use this davit when we're away from the dock and store the dink in a cradle on the bow when in the slip. When the dink is on the bow, the Hurley stores inside it.

I have an Avon RIB 310 with the double fiberglass hull. It weighs in at 150 lbs. Add an 85 lb. motor for 235 lbs to pull on to the davit. If my platform was any higher off the water, there's no way I could pull the dink up by myself.

I love this davit system. It's lightweight and easy to install/remove in any condition. But.... see below

Here's the rub: Prior to pulling the dink onboard, I have to tie the davit cradle back at about a 45 degree angle. This is because you need a "ramp" effect to pull the dink up. The design allows the davit to lay at 90 degrees to the platform when deploying or retrieving your tender, which gives you a "wall" to pull against.

Given the weight issue, I have to tie the bow of the dink short at the starboard stern cleat, then I have a rope attached near the stern of the dinghy that I use to pull the back end and motor onboard. Having the bow tied short causes the front of the dinghy to slide right into the cradle as the stern comes around. I cussed for an hour trying to figure this out since there where no instructions given for stowing or launching a rigid hull dink and Miss Michigan was so good at pulling an air floor on all by herself.

Once I figured out how to configure it for my specific application, I can launch as fast as I can get the straps off and I can stow it and be underway in less than 5 minutes.

Getting the bow up first and tying it off is key, I mounted the davit so that when it was fully deployed it was at an angle to the water I made sure to mount it so the leading edge of my swimplatform kept it from becoming a "wall." Once the nose is up and tied to a cleat, do not underestimate the power of two 20 dollar pulleys from West Marine for a block and tackle if you still have problems.
