Used Deco Boat Lift

I'm in the process of trying to buy a 6,000 lb Deco Boat Lift from someone at our Townhome community so I can get the slip and i'm curious to see what a lift like this would cost? It is an 8 year of lift in good condition. I know i have to upgrade the cradle and cables, but want to try and buy this lift at a reasonable price. I was thinking in the range of $2500 - $3000.

That is too much,I woulnt pay more than 1500 for a used lift.You already know you have to replace the cables and cradles, and will probably need new motors.You can buy a brand new aluminum and s.s lift for around 4000. Let me know if you need some more advice, I am a marine contractor in St Augustine.

Thank you very much for the information. I know i have to use a deco lift because the assocation requires you to use them and i have heard they are very good lifts. I'll be adding the cradle and cables to upgrade it to 10,000 lb lift as well as buying their boat to resell to a friend of mine.
