Forgive me if this has come up already but got a copy of this 100 page e-publication from BOAT/US in my inbox today. Very interesting read. LOTSA Searays represented. Anyone else see it yet? Not sure if this link will work...

I got the email early, but had not opened it yet. Just another benefit from BoatUS.

Thanks for the link, from what I can see I like the cover boat. When I get a chance I will have to locate some more information about it... Not that I could afford it...but to dream?

The link works, but the idiots at boat us did the damned thing in flash. Are those people over there getting more stupid every year? Their insurance isn't competitive any more. They sold the stores to west and west raised prices accordingly. They're getting so efing politically correct that they'll be siding with the greenies against all of those nasty boaters who positively are ruining the waterways with those stinky powerboats. Seems like each magazine I get from them has me throwing it away in disgust.

Perhaps but if it weren't for their organizational efforts, we'd all be paying a "foot-in-the-door-fee" to wash our friggin boats. They got reinstituted (with our help of course) the exemption for grey water discharge. Even if the fee started out as $15/year, it'd escalate to fund other stupid ass initiatives dreamed up by he bloodsucking politicians in Washington. They were also instrumental in getting a moratorium on the other dumb-ass law requiring marinas to provide public waterfront access in exchange for permits to improve facilities. I will continue to support them (despite their mild slant) b/c they are still our only voice and are a tremendous lobby on our behalf. And don't forget, West marine has a price match policy. No need to get ripped off if you do your homework. And don't buy their insurance if they're pricey - that's why I have Allstate.
