USB not charging phone

I have a 270SDX with simrad and fusion stereo. The USB port is not charging my phone although thee is a blue light at the port showing it indeed has power. Any suggestion? Thanks

I’m not familiar with that setup but could that just be an input to the stereo?

On my infinity stereo the USB port doesn’t charge

Stupid question...but have you tried another USB cable?

I may know. My Veloster has 1 USB port. Its input only and wont charge my phone. My wife’s new Elantra has 2 USB ports, one for input and another for charging the phone. I am not a techy, so i dont know why, but thats how it is on our cars.

I'll add to @ErikE what type of phone?
iPhones in particular are very finicky to approved cables and even some chargers just wont work with them.

Good possibility it doesn't charge like others have said, or doesn't provide enough power.

I replaced one of the 12v cigarette lighter plugs with a triple USB port charger, and added two more after that. I can charge a S/L of stuff now

Seems every time I found a gauge, speaker, etc that didn't work, replacing the connectors brought it back to life and reliably.
