looking to install all new stero componets in my 2000 260da and was wondering if any one had tackled this yet, i am very familar with audio electronics and was just wondering how to gain access to some of the areas i might need to run wires for new eqiupment,ie power for drop down tv, power for amp etc...
due to install:
clarion m475 head unit
clairon cmrc1 digital remote
clairon 1625 series speakers
12" flip down lcd w/dvd
10" sub
2 channel amp

Chris, take a look in your 260DA Owners Manual Supplement. It will have diagrams of where/how most wire bundles were originally routed. There are also actual wire diagrams in there.

Some are under the cabin headliner/trim pieces. You may find it easier to run things (like the remote) into the bilge and then back up the other side of the boat.

If you're able, please take pictures as you do this! Even simple things like "this is how I removed X trim piece" would be of benefit to others.

You can get access behind the stbd shower wall for a fish tape by removing the access panels inside the hanging clothes locker.

yes i am replacing the factory clarion system that came original in the boat with a newer version, the newer componets allow for total ipod integration as well as a digital readout remote at the helm, also most of the equipment i decided to use rated well amongst others, plus if you shop around you will see that these items can be picked up resonably cheaper than sony....or alpine....
