After 2 years of owing my 2006 44DA, I'm thinking about moving up to a 2010-11 47 with diesels (mine has gas) with pods. Will me moving to FL in the next 18 months to a house on the gulf. Thinking the fully enclosed bridge (no isenglass) and diesels with pods will give me a number of benefits. Would love some input from the group. Is there anything that I should be aware of that I may not be.

I owned an '09 43/47 and absolutely loved the boat. Can't say anything bad about it at all. Really work hard to find one with 480's as that boat will flat out move - 39 mph WOT and a best cruise around 34 mph. One thing to keep in mind is that the sizing changed from 09-10 and the 47 is probably not a big upgrade size wise from your 44. In fact probably a little narrower. But the pods and enclosed helm will be!

My old boat is for sale at Skipper Bud's. While a year older than you are looking for it is a loaded boat and always fresh water with low hours.

aware of the not much size difference but want the diesels and the enclosed helm. The mrs and I are semi-retired and they youngest goes to college at University of AL next year. I have the good fortune of being able to do what work is required from anywhere with internet and my cell phone so were heading to FL. Want the increased range of the diesel/pod combo as well as stability over my gas and inking the enclosed helm would be an added bonus

can't seem to find your boat listed. Can you post the link

The 470 is a fantastic vessel. I am also nearly ready to upgrade and will have my 2010 470 for sale (480 zeus!). The Pods are awesome near the dock but also very efficient and powerful while cruising... I estimate an 8-10 gph savings with pods vs inboards, and handles great! will PM you some particulars, but it is pristine, with many upgrades, including all new Raymarine electronics, AIS, fusion, etc.

I love my 09 43... It's the same boat... It turns like a jet ski!

I went from a 44DA diesel to a 2012 470 DA. Both were great boats but the 470 is the bomb. Have had virtually no issues except Isotherm refrigerators suck. They should call them chiller. Great great great boat. I do not like the latest 470 DA's.

Good to know and with you 100% on the new ones. Any issues with cooling the cockpit on hot summer days

I can't seem to copy/paste it. But I did a quick search under "SkipperBud's 43 sundancer" and it showed up under 'special's'. I will say this - I have know idea what the current owner paid for that boat but I bought it used in 2010 for about what they are asking now so there should be a lot of room in that price!

Sorry been away from this site. The cockpit air works well. You won't hang meat in it.......but it way better than then not having it. Rusty are you monitoring? I'm in Daytona waiting on Mathew. Could get serious.

Stay safe in Daytona... but maybe you should get the **** out of there? It's just a boat... I'm sure your insured... be safe please...

I went to school there from 2000-2004.. it's an interesting place to say the least...

Lake Erie boater. No boat down here. In Daytona Beach Shores on the Island. Too late to retreat. Bridges closed. Looks like a direct hit on Daytona about 7 AM. Our building is latest codes. We'll be fine. Thanks

I lived in Towers 10 on the corner of A1A and Dunloton for a while.. stay safe my friend

Oceans Grand. Right up the street. Raining hard now. Hits here in about an hr. All good so far.

All good. Storm passing. Just wind. Boats on the Halifax took some hit I'm told. It was blowing pretty good. (bad).

Glad to hear you are safe... I have a fraternity brother with a 459 meridian at the yacht club up over there... he is hoping for the best.. hasn't been down there yet

Daytona boat works got hit hard. Roof ripped off (saw on news). Lots of boats damaged. Still a "lock down" here so can't get around. I hope he's good
