Updating Stereo for 2005 Sea Ray 240 Sundancer Need ideas and help

I am sure everybody is getting ready for the boating season, at least I am in Wisconsin. I was wondering if I could get some help, I am looking to update my current stereo system in my boat as it is not very good loud and I want better quality. I have 4 speakers in the cockpit and two in the cabin. I am looking to replace those speakers, put a sub somewhere and add an amp. Any ideas where to add some speakers? Also read about a kicker box that you can add to the gun wall???? Any help on new places to put speakers and the sub would really help me. Thanks so much and I hope to hear from you soon as I am putting the boat in May 19

Only one way to go imho. Fusion Marine stereos, I have had them all from Clarion to Sony Marine. The fusion Ipod stereos are amazing!
 
Love my new Fusion with ipod hookups inside. The stereo is loud and gives out a great sound.
 
You want to replace the existing speakers and add some more? I would think that an upgrade of the four speakers in the cockpit would be sufficient in a 240. I recently did an upgrade on my 250 by replacing the two existing speakers with JL Audio 7.7" speakers. I also added a 10" JL Audio sub as well as a JL Audio M500/3 amp. The setup sounds awesome though I may add two more speakers someday. The sole reason that I went with a Sony head over a Fusion head is that the Fusion units won't do audio streaming like Pandora. Otherwise I agree with the others that Fusion makes a fantastic unit.
