Can't believe it but I am having a difficult time figuring out what model of clarion stereo unit that has bluetooth to buy to replace my current (original) stereo head unit. Any input would help

The M505 and M303 have integrated BT. Also the CMS2 and CMS5. if your current head-unit still functions and has rear AUX inputs, then consider adding on a universal BT receiver like from Wet Sounds or JL.

Thanks! It does have the aux inputs and was thinking about that option also. Would most likely be the easiest. Oddly enough, it's the misses who wants the new stereo. Then again, also new cockpit carpet, so I'm thinking the BT receiver would be the way to go. Spread the assets

I replaced with the M303 and removed the CD player, which allowed for a small pocket for iPod or phone.

Beginning of last season i replaced the Factory Clarion with a M303 on a friends boat, also upgraded to the newer style wired remote
if you go that route, you need to upgrade the cable in order to maintain full functionality and display on the new wired remote..
also extended the "USB/mic" cable to the helm as well.. comes in handy, can charge your phone and play directly from the phone through the USB if needed

I replaced the helm remote as well. You may also consider the wireless remote. It's great to use when sitting on the dock or when swimming.

M303 - nice system. The only down sides that I have noted are: The USB linking to Pandora is rather slow and clumsy (IPhone). It disables the IPhone controls and has limited features to navigate Pandora from the M303. The buttons on the wired remotes are very stiff; I'm used to them but guests on the boat have issues. The wireless remote (an option) barely operates from the swim platform when they advertise 100'; maybe my boat is bigger than I think.... I have the wireless interface mounted in the helm BTW. I would like a sub level control from the remotes which isn't available. The Bluetooth features are very good and have no issues between the head unit which is in the forward end of the main cabin and back of the boat. Other than these comments probably the best marine unit for the price. The Fusions seem to be in demand but I've never played with one.
I have the boat's television system connected in the Aux port. Had some significant issues with noise because of a ground loop which technically could not be overcome so ended up running a Toslink fiber optic from the video system through a Gefen Dolby optical to RCA converter and all is wonderful.
Other than these specific issues I've bought several M303's for gifts and, obviously, they love them.
