Unknown Table or What?

Found all the table and boardsfor front and aft berths , and found this is the storage area on the left as you enter the cabin on a 1988 270 Sundancer and have no idea what is used for.

Was hoping some one on here would be able to idenify it for us.

That would be your deck table or, flat top.
It fits over your drink table to make a larger and flat table top for cards or maybe folding some beach towels. Just makes a bigger table is all. See 3 photos below.

I am new to this size of boat and have learned a lot by looking around for info on this site.

Yes, I did .

And BTW,,, don't lean or set on that table it will fold up. I have often though it was meant to be a ironing board originally LOL.
