I have installed the underwater lights, and need some advice. Does anyone know n a 320 dancer where I can wire this too so that the lights operate off the Aft accessories dash board switch?
Or is this a direct Sea Ray question to be answered, I know ther's an electrician genius on this board that knows this answer.......Help.

Yes 25 amps

I am going to call Sea Ray today to see which switch can and will handle 25 amps in the dash. I'm not sure any of those switches can handle that draw, and I will put an inline fuse in there as well.

switch

In the new boats, I believe you cannot pull the switch, I am going to take the panel off the dash and see what's there. I have contacted Sea Ray but no response yet.

Wiring and switch

Ok I found out from Sea Ray, electrical tech that the switch (Aft Access) is rated at 30 amps and the red wires going into the EIM in the bilge are the accessory wires....

Wires

Actually the red wires coming into and out of the EIM are larger diameter then what was supplied for the lights themselves. I was surprised at the small diameter wire that is used to power these lights, are you sure its enough?

if they are the white surface mount lights I believe they draw very little power, I seem to remember a 10 or 15 amp fuse requirement for them.

Pictures of the install

It wasn't hard at all, went very smoothly

Boltman:

They look great....I really like "Hurley's" light...I think it is a pretty cool idea....I was about to buy them for my 380DA but then we decided to move to the 410DA.....I may have to ask Santa Claus for a pair of those this year.......

They Look Great! If you have any worries about the amp draw on the switch you can install a bosch relay to take the load off the switch. The relays only cost about $5.00 to $8.00 depending where you buy them, and they aren't hard to wire up either.

Thanks for the advice

Thanks River, I'll take that advice and run with it, I'm hoping to get this job in the water soon, man Michigan weather just can't get it together...
