Undecided whether or not an interior upgrade is worth it.

That is an interesting idea of switching out drive trains and whatever else is needed on a newer or even larger boat, so I am going to keep my eyes open on that. As of now I am going to stay put on her though until I find something and just do the tlc and keep my maintenance at a high standard. She is a great boat and I guess the excitement of something new has me getting ahead of myself .

It's a lot of work but you will have what you want in the end.
I had big plans to redo mine but when it came time to start going back with the inside I could see SeaRay had pretty much made the space as good as could be.

Mine had sunk in a slip so the upholstery was destroyed any way and I had no choice.
Rather than posting a bunch of photos, this video pretty much shows the evolution of my cabin.

This is what it looks like today.

Here's my opinions...

1. I would not add a vacuflush. It's a simple and yet somewhat complicated system at the same time. I think there are other systems out there that may be better. I would suggest looking at the Raritan Marine Elegance toilet. Excellent reviews. No multiple duckbills to replace, no vacuum issues, etc. Just install, add a new tank if you want more capacity, and well $hit and enjoy.

2. If you're happy with the vinyl work, ok leave it as is. From the pictures it appears that the previous owner did a 'wrap and tack job'. The cushions are very square and you can see how it has been pleated vs. a form fitting interior job. Noticed how I changed the back rests on my seating (horizontal to vertical) for an updated look. Again, just my opinion - no harm if you think it's fine.

3. I would update the carpet and in favor of some sort of laminate or wood flooring. Look up Amtico flooring, flexiteek, any wood flooring from your favorite lowes/home depot, etc.

4. Purchase plain white pillows from Ebay and cover them with some nautical themed prints. Some color really makes your cabin pop.

Here's my update from a year ago. Check out the before and after.
