Hi I have a 34 Sundancer with twin Mercs 8.1s 2006

Engine fire up fine and run at idle fine, As soon as we get on the plane both engines cut our for a quick secound, all temps are fine,

Any suggestions

Thanks in advanced.

Do the engines actually cut out or do you just see all the gauges blip to zero then resume?
Hi Mark,

Im not sure if the cut out I dont thinks so

I hear the alarm bleep for a secound and the gauges drop and the resume.

I have replaced the spark plugs and new air filters.

Thanks David.

David, did you try to reseat the main engine harness wire set on each engine? When mine had that symptom I disconnected each wire harness and put it back together and I have not had that symptom happen again. I would make sure all batteries are in off position and no shore power on first if you do try this... Good luck..

Same situation on mine during a sea trial. Was at WOT and the port motor blipped once, alarmed and threw a bunch of codes. Second time blipped, alarmed and died and just about threw everyone overboard as she heeled over :) Was the harness. It was not completed seated due to both motors being pulled.
