I believe that boating is an addiction that compels one to repetitively increase investment until the edge of bankruptcy....... and then back up one size. :grin:

I'm on boat five (hence the name). My path to destruction went like this: 27', 32', 35', 44' and now '58 (or 56' or 59'10" - depending on which era of measurement standard you follow...). I'm guessing that last move qualifies me for the "twelvefootitis" club. :smt100

Hello,

I am Dan and I actually came to the meeting inebrated. I don't think I can be helped. It has been almost 20 years like this with multiple relapses. Then, I go and pledge my soul again to the powers to be (The bank). My wife is also addicted and possibly more than I. Please help.
 
I can walk away, I do white knuckled every October. Then I relapse in April or May. Just another helpless adict.
 
I am not an aquaholic... I can quite any time I want... between the months of October and March.
 
I am an aquaholic, but I am not in the 12footitis club... yet. I went from a 21 footer to the current 31 footer. Oh, and I can't quit. Luckily, I don't have to. Being in a moderate part of the country and with the wonderful marvels of a bilge heater, so far, I can (and have been) boating all year round. I just want it to warm up so I can take down the camper canvas!
