so although I hate to admit it, we decide we've found ourselves missing the ability to actually watch TV on board the 270. I picked up a SeaWatch 2030 (21") omnidirectional because I was worried the 14" wasn't going to be powerful enough, and I found a deal on one. now that this thing arrived on my doorstep looking at it I'm concerned it's going to look ridiculous bolted to the arch. :smt021
the nearest station is probably 30 miles away so I need something decently powerful but I'd also like it a little more compact. oh and while I'm wishing why not make it cheap too. right now I'm worried if I mount this monster people are going to think a UFO suacer craft is beaming up the DA.

If you look at my signature pic below you can see the 2030 that came with my boat on the stbd side of the arch...which I have since removed because I thought it looked ridiculous.

I thought the same thing when my 2030 arrived, to replace the defective 2025 on my 220DA. Just like boats, they shrink when you put them in water. It didn't look all that bad mast mounted on the port side of the 220, and I was glad I didn't return it. Hey, the upside is you have a nice plate for serving pizza! Seriously, it does work well, and if you are in a fringe area like I am, it's probably one of the best antennas you can get.
