Anyone have a source of a rebuilder for the turbos on the Qsm11 in Florida?
With everything else stock is low and slow going to try and have mine rebuilt if possible
Thanks

Call Dave at 561-644-6537. He’s on east coast in West Palm.

Are you removing the turbo yourself and shipping? I would guess you could ship anywhere.

Or are you looking for someone to remove and reinstall after the rebuild and need a local to the area mechanic?

Gulf Coast Power was a Cummins Dealer. Not sure if they still are. Have you talked to them already?

turbos are off having trouble sourcing new ones figured I could have them rebuilt faster

Joe, if you find a good diesel guy for your Cummins, please let me know if he also does Cats. I too need a diesel guy and prefer to avoid local dealer if possible. Good luck. Jeff

@Havana Shamrock - My buddy here in Jupiter has Cummins QSM - 11’s. He uses JAS Marine and Florida Power for his service/repair needs. They are both in the Palm Beach area if you want to look them up.

Joe, I am curious how many hours on the turbos? What is wrong with them That they need to be replaced/rebuilt?

Im finding out travel time is a killer here they also charge mileage on their vehicle.
Was almost $1000 /day everyone is so spread out.

Joe, Give Ron Jago a call at 941-737-7051. Unlimited Yacht Services. He is in Palmetto and was recommended to me by Tony Athens. (sbmar). He might be able to help you.

I just realized Florida Diesel Power is out of Tampa. That might be better for you than Palm Beach?

Doing the exhaust gaskets (again) both turbo housings are cracked.
1645 hours
Sorry to hear that. I hope you are able to get it repaired quickly (and not too expensive)

My guys are saying Florida Marine Power. Jon 941-545-8250. They are a 460 Dancer out of Rivera Dunes.
Wish it were a calmer time.

Thanks for the help I gave up on the guy doing the work on sourcing turbos so I’m going with Seaboard marine he has 2 new ones my guy was getting rebuilts from Cummins it’s more money but cannot find any lead times are 2 months.

Well had to pull the plug on the shop doing my work, some say “the luck of the Irish” now there’s some truth to that I basically fired the shop while my port motor was only 1/2 a motor and they had all my coolers, etc. they did install a new exhaust manifold and gasket but that’s it in 5 weeks. I’ve had it so I informed the owner I was on my way in the morning to reclaim my parts and we’d deal with the bill later luckily steve COD was visiting Longboat we had dinner tues/Wed and he was up on what was happening. This morning he called to say he would delay his departure and help me put the motor back together I was shocked at the generousity I was basically stuck, we where supposed to leave on a trip June 8th and without his help I’d not be going.
Not only did steve re assemble my motor with all the newly cleaned coolers, etc.but he had some of the missing O RINGS that where missing in my parts. Argh
Anyway, this guy gave up a beautiful day on the water with his wife and stayed behind to help me out and I couldn’t stop thanking him all day.
my point is I’ve had boating friends that turned into “friends” I was friends with Steve for a few years but from a distance today he went above and beyond for me and my wife and I am in his debt. I’m happy to call him a stand up guy and my friend. Thank you pal.
