Trying to fish wire from Helm dash to electric panel in a 2007 340 Sundancer

I am going to replace the original Clarion Head unit and helm remote control with a Fusion 670 and wired helm remote. Does anyone have experience as to the best way to access and fish the new remote cable from the helm to the head unit in the electrical panel?

Remove the storage cubby/cupholder at the helm near your feet when you're seated at the wheel. stick your head in there, and at the forward side of it there should be a bundle of wires coming from under the helm passing into the cabin behind the aft berth storage area. You can get a fish tape in there and pull it to where you need it to be.
