Trying to find Macerator or my 2000 SR 290

Every time I turn on my macerator pump it immediately trips the breaker. ...anyone know where the macerator pump is located on the 2000 Sundance 290DA? Also, anyone know what this part is? There is a 1" hose that runs from it to the overboard discharge seacock.

I don't think we actually have the macerator, rather just a pump (in your hand) that pumps out. Unless it's directly in the tank, the Jose goes directly from our holding tank to thatpump

Ten why is there a macerator switch on the 12v side of the electrical panel?

"Macerator" is a term often used interchangeably with different styles of overboard discharge pumps. You have a "transfer" pump, that is essentially the same thing as your vac pump - but the number of duckbills differs. The transfer pump IS your "macerator".

OK. Thanks. Then if I'm the proper distance offshore to discharge... How do I do that?

Flip the breaker on at the panel and hold the discharge button. It takes a really long time to empty it though so be patient (or tape the switch on)
