You only hear the low oil pressure warning and one click when trying to start engine. What is the proper steps to properly diagnoise the problem. I think it may have to do with the shifter solonoid.

From the start switch to starter motor you are going to have a circuit chain of Neutral Start Switch - Starter Relay - Starter Solenoid.

I would first start by checking power and operation of the starter relay.

Linky, Do a search. I had this same problem last year. Went to junction box and tightened everything up. Wham oh it started.
