Heavy rains and strong winds but dealing with it in Boston. Now concerned the damn thing will swing back around and cause more headaches.....At some point I have to be heading back south, but not today or tomorrow, dang it

This is our issue, we have reservations in Nantucket starting tomorrow but too many unknowns.

They closed the hurricane barrier in New Bedford early this AM, and will likely stay closed until tonight's high tide is falling, I am a couple of towns east at my parents house and they have had about a 2' storm surge, but not enough to crest the top of their beach.

Yup, will take the heavy rain over the high winds any day. That being said glad I left the enclosure up. The haul out allowed me to change zincs and clean up barnacle from the hardware.

We got some on winds the cape but nothing significant. The storm surge was maybe a foot higher than normal. All in all it was good to prep for the worst and not get it.

The weather looks pretty good tomorrow. Hopefully they open the barrier so you can make it over there. They’ll be some swells out there but it shouldn’t be terrible. Around 5 o’clock there was only 3ft waves in the bay off Falmouth.
