Had a guy on my dock in California that had one with a hard top and huge swim step. Nice looking boat and tons of space for a 44 I always thought. +1 on the Volvo's though make sure you have a good local Volvo shop you can rely on because that seems to be the issue from everyone I meet with Volvo's. I think they are great engines just not so popular in NA.

I know someone who recently sold a Trojan 44 EC. It was a great boat and he got good money for it. Biggest swim platform I’ve ever seen.

In the older part of this thread someone commented on the probability of finding a smaller boat with a 13’ beam.

Not impossible. While my boat is older @ 1983 it’s 36’ long and has a 13’ 10” beam. It’s massive, burns lots of gas but you can stroll around in the salon and cockpit. I’ll never go back to a narrower boat.
