Hey everyone. Wondering about a trip from Bel Maer to St. Clair? How long should it take and also is there any "no wake" spots along the route? I've been there a few times on other boats, but thinking about going on ours this weekend. Anything other advise would be appreciated! Thanks!

340 Sundancer, I can't help you with your questions about that stretch of water except to suggest that you turn to Google Earth to measure distances and calculate your travel times.

To do that, look in the tool bar that's directly above the map screen for an icon that looks like a ruler. Click on it and a screen opens up where you have the option of selecting a straight line or a path. Choose path and every time you click on the map it drops a waypoint along your path. You also have the option of choosing several measurements (miles, statute miles, KM, etc.).

I don't know where Bel Maer is. There's no listing under Google, Google Maps or Google Earth so sorry, but I can't help you with the distances.

St Clair is roughly one hour from Belle Maer if you take the North Channel. There is a one mile long no wake zone that is clearly marked as you enter the river from the lake near Deckers Landing. Be sure to stay 600 foot from shore while running on plane.

I believe a portion of the river will be closed this Sunday for the "Float Down".

Its a nice ride.

Thank you!!! Yes, I think we may try the ride on Saturday. I know about the no wake zone by Deckers, but I was unsure if there was another one further up the river towards Marine City?

No more no wake zones. Just watch out for the Walpole island and Harsens island ferries.

Actually, you do know where it is: Belle Maer is the marina that shares MacRay's east channel.
