Took wife and older daughter to DC for the weekend for their birthdays. The best part was the Seguay (Sp?) tour of DC. What a blast! Racing around the city standing up is a real rush. Left the family to go get my friend's truck and ran into a Fox news correspondent on the street "Griff." He stopped us, held us for 15 - 20 minutes, and interviewed us a couple of times.

If you saw a tall, black man named Dave, a short man in a blue shirt named "John" from Florida (me), another tall guy named Tom (my friend), a Brit, and a cute girl named Amber, that was our interview. It was about public opinions regarding politics. We were on live at around 3PM Eastern.

My buddy lives in a Condo overlooking Washington Nat'l / Reagan airport. We saw a lot of Sea Rays cruising around the airport and docked along the river in Georgetown. Any of you out there?

John, didn't see your interview, but I'd bet between all of you, you were able to really twist national opinion!

Flew through Reagan Nat'l several weeks ago taking my daughter to college in Boston, and I too noticed more than a few Sea Rays cruising and docked along the Potomoc below DC. Looks like pretty good cruising grounds all the way to the Chesapeake.

We could have swayed the world, but my buddy remained neutral due to his military job on capital hill, and the other two were young so guess who their pick was. The Brit didn't get a voice, I don't think. It does look like a really neat area in which to boat (or vote).

We went into the Senate Office building Sat morning and ran into Senator Dodd. He said "Hello." I'll never wash again (thick sarcarsm). We did the self-guided "Staff" tour of the capital. That was nice.

I may have seen this... Were you the clown that when asked "which candidate is better for the economy" you said "the American people"? Was that you? And that woman was a freekin' Obama supporter?

If you took your wife there, why were you hangin' with the guys and a strange woman for the UK?

That was my buddy, Tom. I was very disappointed that he took such a neutral stand. He's a real womanizer (single guy), and he was complementing her opinion rather than stating his own. So, given the chance to voice your opinion on national tv, you hit on the chick with the Brit. I can't complain. He was a great host to us for the weekend.

We had just parted with my wife and daughter. They went to the Smith. Museum of Art, and we went to get the truck. The reporter gathered us together for differing opinions. Unless they edited it, the question asked of Tom during the first segment was "Who is in the best position to steer us out of this financial crisis?" (Paraphrase). Tom's answer then was "the American people." During the second segment, he asked which candidate was your choice and why.

My answer was that I would vote for the candidate with a proven record of service toward our nation, ...something about "and this time".... that would be McCain.

yep, we must have just missed you, we were on the Georgetown docks, then moseyed on down to National Harbor. That place is pretty sweet for anyone in the area, I think it opened up this past spring, getting pretty mature fast! :smt038 another place to hang out up north on the Potomac!

John,

You definitely picked up on the fact that the upper Potomac is chock full of Sea Rays. Prince William Marine has done a great job of selling boats and service and there are a ton of boats up this way.

Hope you enjoyed your trip.

Mike

Thanks. It cost me a boat weekend during some of the greatest days of the year, but it was their birthdays, so we did what they wanted. I was a good, but high-paced weekend.
