Trim Tab Anodes in Lake Erie

I boat in Lake Erie and keep the boat in the water all spring and summer. My boat (new to me) does not have anodes on the trim tabs. What kind of anode should be on the tab (Mag, Aluminum?). I thank you for any guidance that you may give.

Ragga Frigga.... just read this and decided to check my receipt for the new anode I just got from West Marine and installed on the Sundancer. Now I brought the old one into the store in Winthrop Harbor on the shore of Lake Michigan and asked for a freshwater replacement. Yep, they sold me a zinc anode and I am over 1,000 miles from salt water... so this weekend I will take it off the boat and return it to West....

Outdrives. They have Magnesium anodes, because I just changed them.
