I've had oil leaking into my bilge for a while and my mechanic just realized that the reservoir on the trimp pump is cracked. Since the bracket is very rusty, he suggests replacing the whole unit. I'm reasonably handy and think I could tackle this. My Sea Ray manual does not have a part number for the trim pump and its seems there are many part numbers referenced online for trimp pumps. I've got a Bravo 3 outdrive. Anyone know the proper part number? Any suggestions on replacement?

Also - my bracket rusted badly and I ended sandblasting it and making a couple of plastic spacers under the mounting tabs. Since that time I have seen stainless steel mounting brackets available.

It will be a much better deal if you buy the whole thing (pump, rez, solenoids, brackets etc) rather than buying the parts separately.

You can get the SEI version of the whole assembly for ~$300 whereas the OEM Merc assembly is more like $1200.

I have also seen the stainless steel mounting brackets

The S/S brackets are on ebay for about $40. Put one on my last boat and this one and no complaints. Easy swap.

I have new spare reservoir/cap/o-ring that I never got around to installing. If that's all you need, let me you and you can have it.
