89 300 DA alpha one drives. I had an issue with my starboard rltrim pump not wanting to go down, relay would click several times and then it would go down. I figured the down solenoid ( bottom one with green wire) was giving out so I replaced it with a new one. After reassembling, now it won't do anything! Wont even move with the trailer switch. Acts like it has no power but a meter shows 12 volts to and thru the big fuse, all the way to the bus bar that connects the two solenoids. I cleaned all the connections as well as the grounds. Also checked the little glass fuse at the pump, it's good. I'm stumelp ped. Is there another fuse somewhere I should be looking for? If the new solenoid was bad, it should still go up. All help appreciated.

Maybe try taking all of the connectors off of the solenoid and reinstall them just to make sure you didn’t miss one of the smaller ones or a ground?

The most obvious thing is going to be that you missed something when putting it back together. A ground wire, for example. Look at your other pump for reference or google for a wiring diagram - they're easy to find.

I'm thinking the ground jumper from the lower relay to the upper. It got some strain so that is my first place to start. Ran out if daylight.

My alpha did same thing. Was the trim limit sensor. This tells when to stop and shut off power. If bad will not go up or down. Make adjustment at drive with second person working the switch

The small red wire that feeds power to the helm was broker, the heat shrink was holding it together. It took a meter to find it. Also, the up relay wire from helm had a butt splice that was broken. Probably from me moving g things around. All fixed and working now.

Good to hear. My last boat some a hole stuck a test light in red wire. All looked good but when i finally found it wire inside had got water in it and broke even tho plastic coating was intact. Took 6 hrs to figure out that 3 minute fix
