Hello all ... I have been a lurker to the SRO days and love the forum. I guess it is finally time to pop out of the woodwork!
I have a 2006 240 Sundeck and was cornering with the trim on the stern drive at about 3/4 doing about 30 mph. All of a sudden it said Trim Fault on the Smartcraft. It let me trim up and down afterwards but when I went on the boat today the trim is not working. It also seems like the trim is up. When I go to use the trim it is making a clicking sound and the radio is actually briefly turning off while I try to trim up or down. This is obviously not good. Just wondering if anyone had experienced this? I am slo concerned now because to take it to the marina a few miles away I don't think I can trim it all the way up. I guess I could limp it to the marina the few miles over water but I am concerned that the trim may be stuck all the way up and I don't want to put any stress on the outdrive.
I also do not want to jump in very very very cold water right now.
Thanks!
