My trim sender on the port drive has a broken wire and the Smart Craft digital readout says Trim Fault. Problem is the dang beeper will not shut up its steady one second beeping and we need to use the boat until I get it fixed. I tried connecting a 10 and then a 20 ohm resistor to the wires but it didn't fool SC like I hoped. Anyone know where the wires land that start at the sender on the drive? I'd like to try the resistor on the other end of these to see if that temporarily fools Smart Craft. And how to silence the alarm? Thanks!

On mine, the trim sensor wires are connected at the top of the engine, port side rear corner, under the large plastic engine cover. I suppose you could put in the correct resistor there and trick it.

Thanks! I was able to get rid of the fault with the R. Still beeping though. Must be someway to silence the beep even during an alarm but I can't find it.

Hmmm. Any other codes? Water pressure not at zero is it? Mine never beeped for trim sender issues.

Mine would beep once and show "Trim Fault" on the Tach. Pushed mode button and all went away.
