I am having trouble with the Tridata Speed/Temp transducer. No Data is available. The depth looks OK. Can someon point me in the right direction?

My transducer records the depth and water temperature. The depth is fine but the water temperature readings are way too high (it showed 110 degrees last week). In talking with our service people they tell me this unit cannot be repaired and has to be replaced. Your transducer sounds a bit different than mine but you may have the same type of issue.

Speed never works for long...

True... that's why you have to keep pulling the sensor and clean it. I lube mine up with some teflon spray so the paddle wheel freely rotates... I have to use a pick to keep all the crap out of the thing.

That IS what you were referring to?

Is there a way to test the temp/speed sensor?? Also can you remove the sensor while still in the water without much problem??
