Treasure Island Marina Tornado Damage

One of my PCB a friends said Treaure Island Marina was damaged by tornadoes last night. @fwebster - hope all is OK a with you and Fran.

Thanks, Carter. We are in Tennessee this week well away from the storms on the coast. The Marina has suffered significant damage and it appears some customer and several new boats owned by Marine Max were damaged.

The marina had just finished about a $10.0 mil building program and some of the new construction was heavily damaged.

That's tough to have just rebuilt and now have damage from another storm

After Hurricane Michael in 2018, it was about 3 years before there were any slips in the area that were wide enough to accomodate a 14ft beam. I was fortunate………my boat was inside the only un damaged storage barn and the only damage was to to roof on our slip. The effect of t he hurricane and the following building program was a 40% increase in slip rent in 2020 and another 45% increase in 2021. Those increases on an already high lease cost meant tht there were plenty of slips available!
