Hello!

We don't do a lot of lake boating or swimming from our boat but during opening day earlier this month we were enjoying some ceviche and margaritas with a fellow yacht club member and after a couple of margaritas I decided to hop back over to our boat, carrying the open container of ceviche. Needless to say it splashed on our swim platform and needed to be rinsed off. I went to turn on the transom shower and nothing - no water came out at all. My husband and I then realized that we'd never actually used the shower since we got our boat last year.

I traced the water lines back to the water distribution panel on the water heater and found no obvious obstructions or closed valves. I called Sea Ray and asked about it and they recommended pulling out the box where the shower is installed to look at the T-junction to see if anything is blocked there.

Has anyone had this issue with their transom showers? Any other troubleshooting ideas?

Thanks,
Sandy

Try pulling the knob off and turning the stem with a pair of pliers. Maybe the knob is rounded out and not actually opening the valve.

Sandy, on my boat (and I think most of our size) the cold side of the transom shower tees off the external water hook-up and hot comes through the manifold. I did have that T-fitting fail right after I got my boat and I imagine that is the fitting Sea Ray is recommending you look at. In my case it immediately flooded the aft cabin carpet so I was able to get on it immediately. There may be a way to see behind the fittings through an interior access panel but taking off either the transom shower, dock water fitting or both should not be very difficult. Hopefully it goes without saying that you tested the transom shower with the potable water pump turned on.

Yes - we always have our fresh water pump turned on. We'll be out at the boat this weekend. I'll take a look at that t-fitting. Would you happen to have a picture of that?

Thanks!

Turns out I do have a photo. It's a little fuzzy but shows my configuration.

Hello I’m new to the forum and I have the same issue with no water at the transom shower on my 2011 350DA.
I’ve tried almost everything. Please let me know how the problem was solved.
Thanks
