Transferable Warranty 2010

I've been a lurker for a long time, so I don't post much. I am on final stages of purchasing a 2010 Sea Ray Select 23ft and the owner had indicated the warranty can be transferred and good until 2017. I would imagine it can be transferred but does anyone have a PDF on what it covers, etc?

Is it a Sea Ray warranty or a warranty from an insurance company-many warranties come from the dealer who sold the boat to the original owner and is not transferable or is up to the dealer to honor-be careful-been thru this- be glad to help-but have no PDF-

It's probably the mercruiser warranty which can be extended for 7 years max and is transferable only once by the original boat owner to the second owner. So if you are the third owner you won't get the warranty. It covers the engine and bravo III items that aren't standard maintenance items. For example an impeller would be standard maintenance and not covered, but a failed trim switch/sender would be covered.

Sounds like an additional purchased warranty if his goes to 2017 on a 2010 model, unless of course it was purchased new in 2012...

The boat was purchased new in 2011 but it is a 2010 Model and I will be the 2nd owner.
