So I have a brand new shiney Brass through-hull transducer to install.
It says to used "water soluble antifouling paint".
Huh. Where do you buy that?
West Marine has a Spray Can called "transducer paint", which costs a whopping $30. Seems like overkill for a 2" gizmo.
I am thinking to just paint the brass with the standard copper based paint. . .and leave the ducer surface bare (maybe scotch bright it once in a while while in the water?).
Thoughts?
