The sea water temperature on my Smart Craft display has been reading 163 degrees, a little warm for this time of the year, lol. This started late last season and I hoped that by removing and cleaning the transducer while on the hard would take care of it. Transducer was clean when I removed it but now that the boats splashed it's still reading 163. BTW the transducer was replaced by MM in 2015 about 45 hours ago. Is there a way to check or reset the Smart Craft system?

You could try factory reset on the smart craft. The manual will let you know how to do it. If you don't have a copy then email me at stuarthur@blueyonder.co.uk and I forward.

Curious as to the results, as mine is reading about 148 degrees!
I'm hoping maybe a little resistance in the plug / connector where a little contact cleaner may help?

Thanks Stu, I'll see if I can find the reset info in the manual and give it a shot once it stops raining

Just went through this...resetting probably won't help...The temperature portion is shot...You will have to buy an newer version transducer. Good Luck.
