Tranducer Problem?

My depth finder stopped working this season. I had the boat pulled for another reason and looked on the bottom of hull. Took a picture but can’t figure out if clouding on the hull would prohibit transducer from working. Any ideas or experiences I can tap into?

That looks fine there... must be a connection issue or a bad transducer.
