Trailering a 300DA

It is possible, I trailer mine from alberta to b.c . about 320 miles. through the rocky mountains. I have a Ford 550, which some people say is over kill. It actually Pulls very well, but you have to have proper permits for wide load, and watch your height on the trailer.

I trailer my 310.

there is a thread in classics somewhere.

Trailerd a 300DA 1000 miles (at about 6 mpg, ouch) and then a 300WE about the same. Both times using a Chevy Z71 K2500HD (gasser with auto trans) Up hill, both times. From Florida, 9' above sea level to NW Arkansas. 1300' above sea level. Permits, weigh stations, banners, flags, beacon, yada yada...

Just looking to move around the state, not long hauls. the model is a 2004 and was wondering if anybody had the height on trailer dimensions.

Take a look in the manual (download it off Sea Ray's site if you don't have it). It will give you dimensions. Don't forget to add for anything on top of arch. Add about 18" for a trailer - it will all depend on the trailer.

I would think you could do it no problem with the F350. Biggest hassle will be going online to get the permits to tow it every time. I think they are $35 each.

Also, in SC you cannot tow it on a Sunday as I recall. There are all kinds of other travel restrictions in place as well. Bottom line is unless you have a VERY flexable schedule, trailering a 300 in SC is probably not going to be very easy. You could probably squeeze by with a slightly smaller boat but I think it is going to be pretty obvious you are wider than 8'6" pulling a 300.

Searay says it is 11' 10" if I add 18" it comes to 13' 4" 2 inches to spare. Is that correct? Check my math!

Didn't have to take the arch off, but apparently did have to follow a rather elaborate route to make it. It wasn't a lowboy - just an F series dually with a fifth wheel and a big boat trailer.

With the radome on, I think it might have been closer to 14 feet.

Mine is 1 2006, and is 13'4" on the trailer, I made a flip down mount for my radome so that i dont have to remove it, to many small wires to reconnect on a cold day in may. Now i just flip it over again.

I can get a pic and mabey they will let me measure the 04 next to me in storage this weekend. If you would likey

Sounds about right. When it comes to getting a trailer, make sure you get a bunk, as compared to roller - if you're still worried about height, that is.
