I was wondering if anyone out there uses a trailer to pull there 300DA out of the water. I am considering purchasing one so that I could do the maintenance on it and to get it out of the water in case of a hurricane. I have no plans eo eow the boat. Any thoughts on this idea?

I like the idea of pulling the boat to be able to do your own work like cleaning, minor fiberglass work, anodes & other outdrive work.

Just curious... In the event of a hurricane, where would you put it & how far away is that from the ramp? Do you currently own a vehicle capable of towing it?

I trailer mine at the beginning and end of every season. All of the cruisers are trailered in/out of our lake... from 24 footers to 40 footers.

My Marina will pull it out with a tractor. They have dry storage about a mile from the ramp. I'm more concerned about it breaking loose anchored in the water and sinking than any wind. The dry storage is wide open so no chance of trees falling on it or anything.

I used to pull my 330 out of the water a few times a year and towed it from SE Washington to Portland twice and to the San Juan Islands once. I used an F350 diesel to pull it out and to tow it.
