has anyone come up with a 'cost effective' way to add steps to the trailer tounge to assist boarding the boat at the bow when launching?....right now i step on top of the trailer jack and then onto the winch which gives me enough height to step over the bow rail...but the diameter of the trailer jack is only around 2 - 3" and the winch is not directly under the front of the bow so i have to stretch backwards a little to board the boat.....not to mention i usually have wet, slippery soles on my water shoes....i am afraid that one day i am going to slip while trying to board the bow during launching and cause some significant damage to this constantly aging body....from my on-line research there are a few companies selling some bolt-on steps but they are very expensive for what they are and not exactly the right solution for my trailer...
thanks...
