Hey guys and gals,

Before I explain the issue, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

The problem I am having is that my brake caliper is stuck. How can I get them to release? I will be jacking up the trailer and remove the wheel to try to resolve the issue. Is there any tips that anyone have for me?

If it is hydraulic, you could loosen the bleeder valve located on the stuck caliper. This may release it.

Is it only one? If so, if it releases when you open the bleeder then the hose leading to the caliper is probably collapsed internally. If it does not release then the caliper it self is seized and will have to be rebuilt or replaced. Note: all calipers should be serviced at the same time (replaced or rebuilt)!

Maybe a dumb question, but is it just one wheel or all wheels? If it is all the wheels it may be your safety valve has been tripped on your surge brake controller???

i will take all suggestions and give you the report on Friday. Thanks again everyone.
