Here is a video of how not to pull a trailer...too much weight for the tow vehicle, not enough tongue weight and probably no trailer brakes. At least it was not a boat...

I am sure you were not laughing either. At least they stopped...
 
Unreal! Once the thing starts to fishtail it's all over. The worst think you can do is slam on the car brakes. Better to pull the trailer hand brake control and take your foot off the gas without hitting the car brakes. This lets the trailer pull itself straight.
 
I am still amazed what I see people pull with no weight distribution.
