I have an issue with my right blinker and brake on my trailer. Left works fine (when my connection at the hitch works). Anyway, i found a junction right below the bow of the boat where the single wires from the truck junction are split to go down both sides of the trailer to the rear in the tubing. I get power to there, but no power at the light in the rear. So something has happened between the two spots.

Any recommendations besides trying to tie a new wire on one end and pull it through? I am not sure what could have happened, but also don't know that I will be able to just pull the wire attached to a new one either.

This is a Shore Land Tandem Axel (don't know the model number, sorry).

I had the same problem on my trailer. After spending about an hour troubleshooting, I found out the problem was on the trailer end connector where it plugs into the vehicle. This connector shorted and I could barely see any damage. I cut it apart and it appeared to have broken after flexing over the years. Cut it off, soldered on a new one and problem solved.

Since you mention your tow vehicle not always working I would also use a 12v battery to simulate the tow
vehicle and hook it directly to the trailer connector and then
check for power at the light socket. Had a problem with my ShoreLander trailer that did involve running new wires because rodents got inside the trailer frame and chewed the insulation off the wires. Good Luck.

Check your ground, it causes more problems than any other factor on a boat trailer. Can you test it with a jumper wire just to make sure that is the problem?

I had a similar problem and jumped the left brake from the right side to get home. I couldn't make any left hand turns, but at least I had brake lights!

Thanks for the tips guys, let me try these things out. I'm gone this weekend but will have to give this a shot next week.

1 take a good known battery
2 have jumper wires hook white trailer wire to negative on battery
3 hook second jumper lead to brown on trailer lead to positive of battery you should have all running lights on
4 take jumper wire from positive battery side and attach to yellow wire on trailer harness your left blinker should light up
5 take jumper lead from positive battery side and attach to green wire on trailer wire harness your right blinker should light up

This takes the vehicles wiring out of the situation

next take reading with multi meter at each bulb socket to verify you have power

white= negative
brown= running lights
yellow= left blinker
green= right blinker
blue= brakes (if you have them)
hope that helped
