Trading up on Tuesday to a 2008 330DA

Can I assume you have 8.1s in there. I missed the engine size.

Nice new ride there. My dock neighboor has the same boat and it screams, not to mention what it costs to go that fast..

Enjoy, it is a beautiful boat.

It has 496 Magnum Seacores, which are essentially 8.1s with I/O. They call the V-Drives 8.1 Horizon and the I/Os are called 496. It is the same engine. Mine does not have Axius, but I bet I can walk the boat diagonally sideways or even straight sideways by using the bow thruster in combination with the I/Os. Been working out the vectors in my head. I'll try it this week.

Where did you read that? I've seen boat tests showing up to 48 mph. The best I ever did on the 290 was 42 mph by GPS.

It will be the Julia Valentine II.

My 13,000lb 330 with B3's does 47mph @ 4200 rpm. Granted I only have the 454's with 300hp each. ;) I believe you are in for one heck of a great boat! Enjoy!

One word of caution though, I'm sure you will find a few items for the "repair checklist" on the shakedown cruise. Keep a notebook handy.

Enjoy your vacation!

Mike, congrats! That will be one nice boat. And you are right about the outdrives. 5 years on mine and no corrosion. Just need to take care of them. SeaCore is a good way to go.
 okay magic ??????aquapalloza Sat. 8/1 with new Boat ?ACK Sunday?advise....NEW NAME????Jollymon lookin 4 u sat:}}}}

Congrats. But, from my own personal experiences, you should have held out till the time was right on the DB even if it were to take another year.

I don't know. This may be the right size and layout for our use. If its time for a bridge, might as well wait for a 44 or greater. That's not happening any time soon.

Very nice, Congrats.

Congrats!!!

Again, sorry to lose a great member of our late 290DA group, but maybe we can follow in your steps one day. :smt038:smt038:smt038:smt038
