How much towing coverage do you guys carry? I've got $1000 with my NBOA policy but was thinking about joining Boat US for some added coverage this year.

What are you using to tow a marlow 62 Trawler?:grin:

I tow a 21 foot jet boat. The trailer and boat insurance are under the same policy and cover the full value of the boat and the liability coverage is the same as the SUV. Boat cost 63,000 with the trailer and the insurance cost 550 a year.

I was actually talking about services like Boat/US or Sea/Tow for on the water towing...sorry.

Buy the unlimited coverage. $ 1,000 will evaporate in an afternoon. While owned by the PO our boat was hit while in its slip. The slip is on a river with a very fast current, the other boat went into the fairway too slow and too close and got swept sideways into our boat and the boats on either side. It took two Towboat US boats and $ 3,000 plus to pull him off without destroying the three boats it was tangled up on.

I personally have a SeaTow membership. Cost is $150.

I joined this outfit for two reasons;

1) There is a local franchise owner.
2) The membership covers the boater, not the boat.

While I was prompted to purchase the membership with the acquisition of my Sea Ray, I always have this card with me on my JetSki's and on my Blowboat. I have seen these people tow jetski's before.

Take a look at their packages here: http://www.seatow.com/membership/landing-gold.asp

Towing in home area is free - no limit (assuming we are talking a simple tow, and not something else). That covers me 100%. I don't know what your exact needs are. . so check it out!

I have Boat US,
I opted for the unlimited service and pay $135 per year
My policy includes: Unlimited Towing, fuel delivery, jump start, and other benefits that I feel is reasonable.

Here in the panama city area sea toe is the way to go! And is you get you membership during a boat show they usually do a deal to get 14 months for the price of 12! You just can't beat it for $95 a year!!!
